Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all aspects of project execution, including scheduling, budget management, quality control, and safety compliance. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage project documentation, support project teams, and ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all project activities related to scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and safety procedures.
  • Organize, maintain, track, and monitor project documentation, including:
    • Budgets
    • Subcontracts
    • Purchase Orders
    • Plans and Specifications
    • Requests for Information (RFIs)
    • Change Orders and Change Documentation
    • Submittals
    • Project Correspondence and Communication Records
    • As-Built Drawings
    • Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals
    • Meeting Minutes
  • Provide administrative and technical support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor construction activities and perform field oversight, including:
    • Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications
    • Understanding and application of construction processes and methods
    • Measurement and verification of work in place
    • Quality assurance and quality control inspections
    • Field observations and documentation
    • Development and management of RFIs
    • Identification and resolution of project issues and challenges
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with superintendents and field personnel to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in heavy civil, water, and/or wastewater construction projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and task-focused with a strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to think practically and solve job-site challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with project teams, field personnel, clients, and consultants.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with estimating, quantity takeoffs, and project pricing is preferred.
