Machine Operator / Fabricator

Job Summary

We are hiring a Machine Operator/Fabricator for a direct-hire opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Fitchburg, WI.

This role supports daily fabrication operations by operating production machinery, producing quality components, and following manufacturing instructions in a safe and organized work environment. This is a hands-on manufacturing role and is a good fit for candidates with machine operation, fabrication, press operation, CNC, sheet metal, blueprint reading, or measuring tool experience.

Schedule

• 3rd Shift: 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
• This opening is currently for 3rd shift only.

Pay

• $25.61/hour base rate
• Additional $2.00/hour 3rd shift premium
• Total hourly rate: $27.61/hour

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication machinery and production equipment.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
• Select and run machine programs for specific parts.
• Make minor machine adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts visually and with measuring tools.
• Use tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, or gauges to check parts.
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Assist with other production or fabrication tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, or production experience preferred.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, or other measuring tools preferred.
• Blueprint reading or experience working from technical drawings is strongly preferred.
• Experience with CNC equipment, brake presses, press brakes, stamping presses, lasers, spot welders, die cast machines, or sheet metal equipment is a plus.
• Ability to stand for a full shift and perform repetitive physical movements.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with machine screens or production software.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
