Material Handler
Westminster, MA
Are you ready to join a dynamic team and play a crucial role in warehouse operations? Our client is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to become an integral part of their Westminster, MA facility. This role involves a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, and operating heavy-duty equipment, all while ensuring the smooth flow of materials within the warehouse.
Responsibilities of the Material Handler
Receive, stock, load, and unload products efficiently.
Operate heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
Pick and organize products, ensuring accurate placement and labeling.
Adhere to customer-specific labeling and shipping requirements.
Conduct cycle counting and maintain impeccable data entry for inventory management.
Ensure timely Advance Shipment Notifications (ASN) to suppliers.
Assist with unloading, sorting, and reloading supplier bins as needed.
Requirements of the Material Handler
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Previous warehouse experience and forklift certification (current or previous).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds independently and more with assistance.
Excellent math skills for counting, multiplying, and dividing.
Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, Saturdays, and holidays as needed.
