Warehouse job without a forklift focuses on manual tasks like receiving & stocking (unloading, checking, putting away), order fulfillment (picking, packing, labeling items), inventory management (counting, organizing), and shipping prep, all while ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work area, often using hand tools, carts, or pallet jacks. These roles emphasize accuracy, attention to detail, and physical stamina.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Put-Away: Unload deliveries, verify items against purchase orders, identify damages, and transport goods to designated storage locations.
Order Picking & Packing: Retrieve items from shelves, pack them securely with appropriate materials (boxes, packing slips), and prepare them for shipment.
Inventory Control: Sort, label, organize stock, maintain accurate counts, and report discrepancies.
Shipping Preparation: Move packed orders to the shipping bay, ensuring they're ready for carrier pickup.
General Maintenance: Keep work areas, shelves, and equipment clean and organized, adhering to safety standards.
