Masis Staffing is seeking a Mailroom Associate to join the team of our client. Details below!

Job Summary:
This individual will be ensuring the accurate sorting, delivery, and dispatch of packages and correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dock Operations & Sorting: Efficiently sort and stage incoming letters, packages, and boxes on the loading dock.

  • Package Check-in: Utilize a provided handheld scanning device and proprietary app to log incoming shipments into the system.

  • Campus Delivery: Transport packages across the campus using small push carts and flatbed carts. Navigate efficiently using campus maps to deliver items to designated mailstops.

  • Outgoing Shipments: Collect outgoing packages from mailstops and stage them for processing by the outbound distribution team.

  • Mail Processing: Operate USPS postage machines to process letter mail, prepare and label outgoing FedEx packages, and sort interoffice correspondence.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.

  • Lifting: Capable of lifting and moving packages up to 50 pounds unassisted. Items exceeding 50 pounds must be lifted with team assistance.

  • Mobility: Must be able to push and pull fully loaded small carts and flatbed carts.

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Experience: Previous experience in mailroom, warehouse, or logistics environments is preferred but not required.

  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new software/applications.

  • Navigation: Ability to read and understand campus maps to ensure accurate deliveries.

  • Communication: Strong written communication skills to handle customer email inquiries professionally.

  • Soft Skills: Self-starter who can stay on task with minimal supervision; excellent team player who takes direction well; flexible and calm under pressure.
