Maintenance Worker
Centerbrook, CT

Masis Staffing is looking for a maintenance worker for our manufacturing client in Centerbrook, CT
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. Performs routine cleaning and sanitizing of work areas, restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and production/warehouse spaces, following safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors; empty trash and replace liners
• Clean windows, mirrors, walls, and high-touch surfaces (door handles, railings, etc.)
• Refill supplies (paper products, soap, sanitizer) and report low inventory
• Use cleaning chemicals properly and follow Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines
• Operate cleaning equipment as needed (floor scrubber/buffer, vacuum, pressure washer—if applicable)
• Follow site safety rules including PPE requirements (gloves, goggles, masks, non-slip shoes, etc.)
• Report maintenance issues, hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Support deep cleaning projects as assigned (periodic detail cleaning)

Requirements / Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30–50 lbs (adjust as needed)
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Prior janitorial/sanitation experience/landscaping experience preferred (not always required)
• Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals and in industrial/warehouse environments (if applicable)
• Must follow safety rules and sanitation procedures consistently

Compensation for the Maintenance Worker:
DOE: $18 to $20 an hour
