Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (Chinese/English – Bilingual)

Pay Range: Annual Salary $80,000–$85,000 DOE, plus a 6% shift differential for night shift.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees full-shift warehouse operations for a high-volume solar panel manufacturing facility. This role leads a team of 15–20 warehouse employees, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient movement of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products throughout the facility. The Supervisor is responsible for inventory control, forklift operations, packaging, outbound shipments, and maintaining a smooth, compliant, and organized warehouse environment that supports continuous production.

This position requires strong leadership, hands-on operational oversight, and the ability to manage a fast-paced warehouse supporting both Silicon and Thin Film PV manufacturing lines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of 15–20 warehouse associates, including forklift drivers, material handlers, inventory clerks, and packaging staff.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound material flow, including receiving, staging, storage, and distribution of raw materials to the production floor.
  • Ensure timely and accurate transfer of raw materials to manufacturing lines to support uninterrupted 24/7 production.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and accuracy of ERP/WMS data.
  • Oversee forklift operations, ensuring proper training, certification, and safe equipment usage.
  • Direct packaging, labeling, palletizing, and preparation of finished goods for shipment.
  • Coordinate daily shipping activities, including carrier scheduling, documentation, and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S standards.
  • Monitor shift performance, labor allocation, productivity, and workflow to meet operational KPIs.
  • Enforce safety protocols, PPE usage, and OSHA compliance; immediately address unsafe behaviors or conditions.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure material accuracy, traceability, and safe handling of chemicals or sensitive materials.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth shift operations.
  • Train employees on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve material flow.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of warehouse leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar high-volume environments.
  • Experience supervising teams of 10+ employees in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, material handling, and warehouse workflow.
  • Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Ability to operate and train staff on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and hold teams accountable.
  • Ability to work assigned day or night shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in solar, semiconductor, electronics, or other technical manufacturing environments.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin preferred due to cross-functional communication needs.
  • Experience supporting start-up or rapidly scaling operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, hazardous materials handling, and EHS best practices.
