Our client is seeking a dedicated Lamination Operator to join their team and ensure the seamless application of adhesives in their production process. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision, this opportunity is for you!
Responsibilities of the Lamination Operator
Apply a layer of solvent-based adhesive to a moving web using a reverse roll coating head.
Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure even adhesive application, utilizing real-time computer screen data.
Identify and correct coating flaws promptly to maintain product quality.
Perform product changeovers and cleanups efficiently to optimize machine throughput.
Operate material handling equipment, including hoists and industrial powered fork trucks, to manage large rolls and adhesive drums.
Mix liquid or powdered adhesive components using a mechanical dissolver/mixer.
Collaborate with the Lead Laminating Operator to ensure smooth machine performance and timely changeovers.
Requirements of the Lamination Operator
Ability to understand written instructions and follow verbal directions from the Lead Laminating Operator.
Basic computer skills for interfacing and querying machine data.
Capability to lift machine parts weighing less than 50 lbs during setup and cleanups.
Comfort working with flammable organic solvents in a non-air-conditioned environment.
Commitment to maintaining a clean working area by disposing of scrap and waste.
Willingness to work overtime, including potential 12-hour shifts and weekend work during busy seasons.
Reliable attendance to prevent production disruptions and support team operations.
