Class 8 – Produce Associate (Full-Time | Closing Shift)

About the Role

As a Class 8 – Produce Associate, you’ll be a key part of the produce team—helping customers find the right items, keeping product fresh and well-stocked, and maintaining a clean, organized produce floor. This is a customer-facing, fast-paced role that requires prior produce experience, strong communication skills, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person and by phone by answering questions and helping them select produce and related items
• Stock, rotate, and replenish produce to keep displays full, fresh, and properly organized
• Maintain a clean, neat, and organized produce floor area, including general cleanup and straightening throughout the shift
• Work collaboratively with the team and complete additional tasks as assigned by department Managers or the Owner

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Prior produce experience is required, such as experience in environments like Whole Foods, Roche Brothers, Market Basket, or an independent grocery
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills (in person and by phone)
• Strong customer service mindset: polite, professional, and helpful
• Enthusiastic, outgoing personality with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable and punctual, with reliable transportation

Schedule & Hours

• Full-time: 50 hours/week
• Closing shift schedule: 10:00 AM – Close
• Holiday periods require additional hours and scheduling flexibility to meet business needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Frequent movement up/down stairs and in/out of coolers to access product
• Must be able to frequently lift/move approximately 30+ lb totes of various produce
