Screw Machine Operator – Precision Manufacturing

Full-Time | Manufacturing | Screw Machine Operation – Direct Hire
$24 – $25 p/h

We are hiring an experienced Screw Machine Operator to join a precision manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone with experience operating ACME, Acme-Gridley, Davenport, New Britain, Brown & Sharpe, multi-spindle, single-spindle, or similar screw machines.

Candidates with related automatic screw machine or high-volume precision machining experience are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Operate automatic screw machines to produce precision metal components
• Run and monitor multiple machines during production
• Read and follow blueprints, setup sheets, work instructions, and specifications
• Monitor parts for dimensional accuracy and quality
• Inspect finished parts using:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Gauge pins
  • Optical comparators
• Identify parts that are out of tolerance and make basic machine adjustments as needed
• Record inspection and production data
• Monitor tooling, machine performance, oil levels, and chip removal
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures

Qualifications

• Previous screw machine or related precision machining experience
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Ability to read basic blueprints and setup documentation
• Understanding of dimensional tolerances and part quality
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to monitor multiple machines in a production environment

Direct ACME or multi-spindle experience is preferred, but candidates with other screw machine backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
