Hiring for Installation Technicians – Fleet Vehicles
$25.00/HR
Houston Area – PROJECT September to mid November
Position Overview We are seeking hands-on Installation Technicians to support a high-volume fleet vehicle installation project. Technicians will install equipment on commercial vehicles, follow established procedures, and ensure each installation meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
? Install equipment on fleet vehicles according to established procedures and specifications.
? Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
? Complete installations accurately while meeting daily productivity targets.
? Inspect completed work and identify or correct installation issues as needed.
? Perform basic vehicle readiness checks and report any concerns.
? Handle parts, kits, and equipment responsibly and assist with inventory organization.
? Document completed work using digital tracking tools, including photos and vehicle information.
? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
? Follow all site safety requirements and properly use required PPE.
? Work closely with the installation team and Site Leader to maintain workflow and meet project goals.
? Provide feedback and support process improvements when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
? 1–3 years of experience in automotive, mechanical, installation, assembly, or a related field.
? Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand/power tools.
? Strong attention to detail and ability to follow step-by-step instructions.
? Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
? Valid driver’s license.
? Ability to communicate effectively in English.
? Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Experience
? Fleet vehicle installation, upfitting, retrofits, or similar automotive work.
? Experience in production, assembly, or high-volume environments.
? Basic electrical or mechanical troubleshooting.
? Experience using mobile/digital systems for work documentation.
Project Expectations
Follow all safety, attendance, and operational requirements.
? Meet established quality and productivity standards.
? Report safety concerns, damaged equipment, or installation issues promptly.
