Procurement Specialist

Location: Opa-locka / Miami, FL 33054
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Pay: Up to $68,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Work Location: Fully onsite

A long-standing Miami-area manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage purchasing, vendor communication, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, inventory support, and procurement records.

This is a direct-hire opportunity with regular business hours, strong benefits, and long-term stability. The company pays 100% of employee health insurance and also offers retirement benefits, profit sharing, and yearly bonuses.

This role is best suited for someone who has hands-on purchasing experience and can work independently. The Procurement Specialist will be the main purchasing contact and will report to the CFO.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage purchasing for a mix of raw materials, packaging, machine parts, MRO supplies, office supplies, products, commodities, and services.
  • Request, review, and compare vendor quotes, pricing, delivery terms, and product availability.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders, change notices, and related procurement documents.
  • Track vendor deliveries and follow up to help ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Monitor delivery schedules against production needs and report any issues that could affect availability.
  • Maintain inventory records for listed items and prepare reports as needed.
  • Support supplier evaluation, vendor communication, and approved supplier list updates.
  • Review and resolve pricing discrepancies between supplier invoices and purchase orders.
  • Enter received materials into the system and keep procurement records organized.
  • Participate in monthly inventory of materials and equipment parts as assigned.
  • Support bids, proposals, contracts, and vendor agreements as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Specialist, Purchasing Agent, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience managing purchase orders, vendor quotes, supplier follow-up, delivery tracking, and purchasing records.
  • Manufacturing purchasing experience is highly preferred.
  • Wholesale purchasing experience may also be considered.
  • Professional bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required.
  • Ability to speak and write professionally in Spanish with vendors.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or another purchasing, inventory, or ERP system is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as the main purchasing contact.
  • Associate degree preferred, or 3 to 5 years of related purchasing/procurement experience.
  • Certified Purchasing Professional, also called CPP, is a plus but not required.
