Welder / Fitter

Masis Staffing is hiring for a Welder / Fitter position in Batesville, MS 38606.

We are looking for dependable, safety-minded candidates to join a manufacturing team producing steel frames and building components. This is a great opportunity for both entry-level welders, including recent welding program graduates, and more experienced fitters/welders seeking a stable, full-time role.

Pay

• $17.00/hour – entry-level/recent welding program graduates
• Up to $21.50/hour – experienced Senior Fitters

Shifts Available

1st Shift

• Monday through Friday: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Saturday: 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fitting work for steel frames and building components
• Safely use tools and equipment such as grinders, welding hoods, gougers, and scrapers
• Follow welding procedures, work instructions, and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete required training and follow workplace policies and procedures
• Support production needs and complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience preferred
• Fitting experience is a plus
• Recent welding school graduates are encouraged to apply
• Experience with plasma torches and oxy-acetylene cutting equipment is a plus
• Welding certifications are helpful, but not required
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Basic math skills, including working with fractions
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and attendance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
