Job Overview

Fusion Transport is a growing logistics company with over 40 years of experience. We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator – Picker to join our warehouse team in Romeoville, IL.

The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, picking, staging, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Reach Truck/Forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Pick and move materials to and from stock and manufacturing lines using an RF scanner.
• Accurately record material movements in the WMS system in real time.
• Shrink-wrap and stage materials in the appropriate areas.
• Perform inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
• Count materials being returned to stock and properly document quantities.
• Organize pallets and maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Assist with recyclable materials and warehouse housekeeping as needed.
• Communicate with team members and leadership regarding current and upcoming warehouse needs.
• Move inventory and non-inventory pallets to support efficient warehouse operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of material handling or warehouse experience preferred.
• Reach Truck/Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• Previous experience using an RF scanner and WMS system preferred.
• 3PL, warehouse, or cross-dock experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
