Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA/QC Inspector to support quality assurance and quality control activities for construction and high-tech facility projects.

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for performing field inspections and verifying that materials, equipment, installation methods, workmanship, and project documentation comply with approved drawings, specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), applicable standards, client requirements, and established project quality procedures.

This position focuses primarily on inspection, documentation, verification, reporting, and quality compliance. The QA/QC Inspector works closely with project managers, engineers, field supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and client representatives.

The ideal candidate is organized, observant, comfortable working in an active project environment, and capable of clearly documenting deficiencies and following corrective actions through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Field Inspection & Quality Verification

  • Perform receiving, pre-installation, in-process, final, turnover, and closeout inspections according to project requirements.
  • Inspect materials, equipment, components, installations, and completed work for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, standards, and client requirements.
  • Verify workmanship, dimensions, routing, alignment, supports, labeling, identification, cleanliness, accessibility, and overall installation quality.
  • Review assigned mechanical, electrical, utility, equipment, and facility installations for quality and completeness.
  • Confirm materials and components match approved submittals, documentation, component tags, and project requirements.
  • Observe and document required project inspections and quality checks.
  • Verify required inspection checkpoints are completed and properly documented before work proceeds.
  • Conduct field walks to identify incomplete or deficient work.
  • Prepare punch-list items and document required corrections.
  • Reinspect corrected or reworked items and verify compliance before recommending closure.
  • Maintain accurate inspection reports, photographs, checklists, quality records, and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate quality concerns to appropriate project personnel and assist with corrective-action follow-up.
  • Support project turnover and closeout documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training, trade education, or an associate degree in construction, engineering technology, quality, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of QA/QC inspection, construction inspection, field quality, manufacturing quality, or related experience.
  • Experience performing inspections and accurately documenting results, deficiencies, corrective actions, and closeout status.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, diagrams, submittals, technical procedures, and project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, Nonconformance Reports (NCRs), RFIs, quality plans, and project quality records.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify workmanship concerns, material discrepancies, incomplete work, and documentation gaps.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic document-management or construction-management systems.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with subcontractors, tradespeople, engineers, supervisors, project managers, inspectors, and client representatives.
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in an active construction or high-tech facility environment.
  • Ability to perform regular site walks and access assigned inspection areas while following established site safety requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, manufacturing, commercial construction, MEP, or high-tech facility projects.
  • Experience inspecting general mechanical, electrical, equipment, or facility installations.
  • Experience reviewing material documentation, inspection records, equipment documentation, quality reports, and turnover packages.
  • Experience coordinating project inspections, client inspections, quality activities, or construction closeout.
  • Familiarity with applicable construction and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Smartsheet, or similar systems.
  • Relevant quality, inspection, construction, or technical certifications are preferred.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, or other applicable site-safety training is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus but not required.
