Our client is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team on the 3rd shift, ensuring the highest standards of sanitation are met. Responsibilities of the Sanitation 3rd Shift
Collaborate with our client's team to meet sanitation needs.
Independently complete tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
Follow established cleaning practices and procedures.
Assist others when work in the assigned area is light or complete.
Work weekends and holidays as required.
Rotate to other Sanitation Department positions as needed.
Clean equipment, utensils, barrels, and facility areas, including floors, bathrooms, doors, walls, and windows.
Collect and dispose of trash and cardboard in proper recycling receptacles and operate balers.
Operate sanitation equipment, including steam cleaners, foamers, and automatic floor scrubbers.
Participate in the annual GFSI/FSSC 22000 audit and assist with developing procedures and corrective actions.
Adhere to the plant's HACCP plans and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Requirements of the Sanitation 3rd Shift
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform duties at a pace consistent with department expectations.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively with others.
Normal to excellent manual dexterity and motor skills.
Ability to perform overhead lifting and bending, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination and strong listening and comprehension skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with OSHA standards.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-12 hour shifts.
Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, reach, and climb stairs or ladders.
Safely operate sanitation equipment and frequently work near moving mechanical parts.
Regular exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals while wearing required PPE.
