Opportunity Overview

Are you ready to play an important role in keeping production running smoothly? Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Prep Supply Associate to join their team in Newburyport, MA.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing and supplying ingredients and materials needed for production, maintaining accurate inventory records, and helping ensure materials are available when and where they are needed. Responsibilities

• Pull and kit ingredients accurately based on production needs.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and accurately track LOT numbers.
• Complete all required DSI transactions daily.
• Provide packaging supplies and materials needed for production.
• Use the Production Schedule and Materials Requirement Plan to properly allocate materials.
• Load and unload trucks at warehouse docks as needed.
• Provide coverage for Shipper, Receiver, and Selector positions when needed.
• Safely operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, and electrical hand trucks.
• Map raw material locations daily and accurately document LOT codes.
• Support proper production flow through effective communication and material preparation.
• Participate in the annual GFSI/FSSC22000 audit and assist with procedures and corrective actions.
• Follow the plant’s HACCP plans and all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and processes.
• Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of FIFO procedures and LOT number tracking.
• Ability to accurately complete DSI transactions.
• Experience operating fork trucks, pallet jacks, and electrical hand trucks.
• Familiarity with production schedules and material requirement plans.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Willingness to participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
