Sanitation / Warehouse Cleaner – 1st Shift

Opportunity Overview

In this role, you’ll help maintain a clean and sanitary production and warehouse environment while supporting the company’s food safety and quality standards. If you are reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable with physical work, and enjoy being part of a team, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the sanitation team to meet daily plant cleaning needs.
• Independently complete duties assigned by the Supervisor or Lead.
• Follow established sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Clean equipment, utensils, barrels, floors, bathrooms, doors, walls, windows, and other facility areas.
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and cardboard in designated recycling receptacles.
• Safely operate balers and sanitation equipment.
• Use steam cleaners, foamers, and automatic floor scrubbers as required.
• Assist team members in other areas when assigned work is completed.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready work areas.
• Participate in the annual GFSI/FSSC 22000 audit and assist with procedures and corrective actions as needed.
• Follow the plant’s HACCP plans and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Follow all required safety procedures and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work at a pace consistent with department expectations.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, listening, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform overhead lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 8–12 hour shifts.
• Basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to safely operate sanitation and cleaning equipment.
• Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work with cleaning and sanitation chemicals while wearing required PPE.
