Our client in Fall River, Massachusetts, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Sewer – Piping to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for sewing and assembling piping, fabric components, and finished products while maintaining quality and production standards.
Responsibilities of a General Sewer – Piping:
Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble piping and fabric components.
Sew piping, seams, hems, and other textile components according to specifications.
Inspect finished products for proper stitching, alignment, and quality.
Follow patterns, work instructions, and production specifications.
Maintain consistent production and quality standards.
Make minor machine adjustments as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety and production procedures.
Assist with other sewing and manufacturing duties as needed.
Qualifications for General Sewer – Piping:
Previous industrial sewing experience preferred.
Experience working with piping or fabric components is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to perform repetitive sewing tasks for extended periods.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Manufacturing and production environment.
Frequent sitting and repetitive hand and arm movements.
Ability to maintain concentration while operating sewing equipment.
Ability to handle fabric and piping materials.
Exposure to noise from industrial sewing equipment.
Required to follow appropriate safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
