Parking Lot Monitor

Location: Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD)
Pay: $19 per hour

Age Requirement: 21+ years old
 

Position Summary

Masis Staffing Solutions is hiring reliable Parking Lot Monitors to help keep school parking lots safe and secure. Employees will monitor parking areas, watch for suspicious activity, and report any safety concerns or unauthorized individuals on school property.

Requirements: Employees must have their own vehicle available onsite and may need to move it around school property as directed.
 

Available Schedules

Schedules vary depending on the school location:

• 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
• 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor the assigned school parking lot during the scheduled shift.
• Watch for suspicious activity, trespassing, vandalism, or attempted vehicle theft.
• Identify and report unauthorized individuals on school property.
• Politely offer assistance when appropriate and safe.
• Notify school security, District staff, or law enforcement of any concerns.
• Follow all safety procedures and instructions provided during training.
• Communicate professionally with school staff, students, visitors, and the public.
• Use a mobile phone to contact designated personnel when needed.
• Complete incident reports when required.
• Follow all company and school district policies.

Safety Expectations

Employees are responsible for observing, reporting, and helping deter suspicious activity. They are not expected to confront, chase, or physically restrain anyone. Any dangerous or emergency situation must be reported to the appropriate security personnel or law enforcement.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a seven-year background check.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle available onsite.
• Must have a working mobile phone during the shift.
• Must be dependable and arrive on time.
• Must be able to stay alert and monitor the parking lot for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable working independently.
• Must communicate clearly and follow instructions.
• Must be able to work outdoors and inside a vehicle in different weather conditions.
• Must use good judgment when identifying and reporting concerns.

Driving Requirements: A valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and proof of auto insurance may be required before starting the assignment.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors and in a vehicle in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and snow. Employees may need to sit or stand for extended periods, walk around the parking lot, and get in and out of their vehicle throughout the shift.
