Manufacturing Blending / Extrusion Operator

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM–11:30 PM

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable Manufacturing Blending / Extrusion Operator to help prepare, mix, and process materials used to manufacture specialty products. This role involves weighing ingredients, operating machinery, checking product quality, and following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and mix raw materials according to recipes and production instructions.
• Set up and operate blending and extrusion machinery.
• Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
• Inspect materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Collect samples for quality testing and make adjustments as instructed.
• Label finished products and complete production paperwork.
• Enter production information into SAP.
• Clean equipment and maintain an organized work area.
• Report equipment problems or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with training team members when needed.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, plastics, chemical processing, blending, or extrusion is preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and accurately measure ingredients.
• Ability to follow written instructions and production formulas.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 55 pounds.
• Some materials may weigh up to 250 pounds and may require appropriate lifting equipment or assistance.
• Ability to work around machinery, dust, fumes, noise, and chemicals while following safety procedures.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and other equipment as needed.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing environment involving raw materials, industrial machinery, blending, and extrusion processes. Safety procedures and proper use of protective equipment are required at all times.
