Residential Maintenance Technician

Location: Worcester, MA
Pay: $25.00–$26.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
On-Call: Every 3rd week
Travel: Worcester home base with travel to Ashland using a company vehicle

We are hiring a dependable Residential Maintenance Technician to support apartment communities in Worcester and Ashland.

This is a full-time, hands-on property maintenance position with a steady Monday through Friday schedule. The ideal candidate has experience with apartment maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or general facilities repair.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment maintenance work orders
• Perform apartment turnovers and make-ready work
• Interior painting and touch-ups
• Light sheetrock/drywall repair and patching
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Basic electrical repairs
• Minor carpentry and general building repairs
• Appliance troubleshooting as needed
• Preventative maintenance
• Property inspections
• Coordinate and manage outside contractors and vendors
• Meet contractors onsite and help ensure work is completed properly
• Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance areas
• Assist with emergency maintenance as needed
• Provide snowstorm assistance when required
• Participate in an on-call rotation every third week
• Travel between Worcester and Ashland using a company vehicle

Qualifications

• Previous apartment, residential, building, facilities, or property maintenance experience preferred
• Experience with painting and light drywall repair
• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair skills
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable coordinating contractors and vendors
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be available for on-call coverage every third week
• Must be available to assist during snowstorms and property emergencies
