Assembler

Responsibilities of the Assembler
Utilize job traveler to obtain raw materials, blueprints, and job numbers as references.
Perform assembly of basic engineered products at a low-level production rate.
Measure fiberoptic materials visually to ensure proper size and fit.
Use epoxy resins to adhere fibers to ends and fittings.
Handle and transport fiber from drums to various stations, including potting, grinding, polishing, packing, and shipping.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Adhere to all safety and health guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisors and management.
Requirements of the Assembler
Ability to read and follow written instructions.
Basic data entry skills.
Proficiency in measuring using rulers and measuring tapes.
Experience handling and using various tools such as razor blades, calipers, and basic power equipment (e.g., heat gun, soldering iron).
Ability to work well with other employees, management, and supervisors.
Capability to work independently and/or in a team environment as assigned.
Physical ability to perform tasks in a production environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing or sitting for long periods.
