Job Title: Assembler II
Location: South Windsor, CT
Pay Rate: $20.50–$22.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Duration: 6 months temp (open to contract to hire)


Position Overview

HyAxiom is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assembler II to join our production team. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble components critical to our manufacturing process, including Cell Stack Assembly components that are 7 feet tall for use inside power plants. You will work closely with engineering and production teams in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety, and teamwork are top priorities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently assemble components to meet production standards.

  • Follow standardized processes to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

  • Work with Manufacturing Engineers and Assembly teams to improve assembly methods and efficiency.

  • Handle delicate components and work with chemicals such as phosphoric acid (PPE provided; training will address proper work processes).

  • Work with chemicals and insulation as part of standard assembly duties.

  • Follow company policy in using proper PPE.

  • Complete and maintain accurate production documentation including OEE sheets and safety checklists.

  • Cross-train and support other production duties as needed.

  • Assist in the reclaim process of tearing down older products returned from the field.

  • Work effectively in a team environment with 4 tasks in rotation, including dismantling and reassembling components.

  • Maintain strong attention to detail for reassembling projects.

  • Follow direct instruction accurately.

  • Use basic tools including wrenches and other basic hand tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting.

  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and handle specialized materials.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Basic tool knowledge, including wrenches and other basic tools.

  • Strong attention to detail for reassembly work.

  • Ability to follow direct instruction accurately.

  • Comfortable in a physical role requiring being on feet for most of the shift.

  • Flexibility is a must due to dismantling components and reassembling with a team (4 tasks in rotation).

  • Understanding of assembly methods and best practices.

  • Experience reading operational sheets and work instructions.

  • Experience in a production environment preferred.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including:

    • Lifting up to 35 lbs

    • Walking or standing for most of the shift

    • Working from heights on a platform for limited time

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Hiring Process Details

  • Onsite interview and tour required.

  • Pre-employment screens include: THC (tested), basic background check, and physical health screening (completed at Concentra).
