Are you passionate about precision and craftsmanship? Our client is seeking a dedicated Fiber Optic Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a hands-on production environment and are eager to contribute to the creation of high-quality fiber optic products.
Responsibilities of the Assembly
Utilize job travelers to obtain raw materials, blueprints, and job numbers for reference.
Perform data entry as required to maintain accurate records.
Assemble basic engineered fiber optic products at a low production rate.
Visually measure fiber optic material to ensure proper size and fit.
Use epoxy resins to adhere fibers to ends and fittings securely.
Handle and transport fiber through various production stages, including potting, grinding, and polishing.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety and health guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.
Requirements of the Assembly
Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately.
Basic computer and data-entry skills are essential.
Proficiency in measuring using rulers and measuring tapes.
Competence in using basic hand tools and equipment, such as razor blades, calipers, heat guns, and soldering irons.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical capability to handle, grasp, reach, push, and pull with both hands.
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
Close vision required for detailed assembly work.
Compensation/Benefits for the Assembly
Starting at $18.00/hour+
Flexible start and end times, Monday to Friday
Work 37.5 hours and receive pay for 40 hours
Interview required
