Are you ready to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of a bustling warehouse? Our client is seeking a dedicated Shipper & Receiver to join their dynamic team. This position is vital for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities of the Shipper & Receiver
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders.
Process shipping documents such as packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
Utilize shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, or internal ERP systems) to process orders and track shipments.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (if certified).
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and audits.
Organize and store materials in proper warehouse locations.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Communicate effectively with warehouse team members and supervisors regarding shipment or inventory issues.
Requirements of the Shipper & Receiver
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs as needed.
Basic computer skills for shipping systems and inventory tracking.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment.
