Production Operator – 2nd Shift
Holyoke, MA

Responsibility of the Production Operator:

The Production Operator is responsible for operating a wide range of machinery to fabricate, process, and assemble chain. The Production Operator ensures equipment is operated efficiently and according to established quality standards and work specifications.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operate a wide range of machinery to fabricate, process, and assemble chain.
Primarily responsible for the operation of a complete range of grinders, drilling machines, ballizers, semi-automatic equipment, power presses, and packaging equipment.
Measure all quality parameters of assembled and unassembled chain components and determine corrective action where appropriate to the processes concerned.
Retrieve and replace components from parts storage or prior processes to ensure continuous operation of equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the Production Operator:

Must have the ability to learn to operate simple production equipment with a minimal amount of instruction. Basic numeric and writing skills are essential. High level of dexterity and flexible nature essential. No set-up skills required. Requires sufficient knowledge of all types of production equipment, including grinders, drilling machines, ballizers, automatic equipment, semi-automatic equipment, power presses, greasing, and packaging equipment, and the tooling required to maintain close tolerances and work specifications.

Compensation/Benefits for the Production Operator:

$24.39/hr.
