Associate Financial Advisor

Pittsburgh, PA

Our client is a fast-growing, well-established wealth management firm headquartered in Pittsburgh. They currently have over $2.5 billion in assets under management for over 1,000 private households. This is an Associate Financial Advisor role designed as a structured development opportunity with a clear path to promotion into a full Financial Advisor position within 6–18 months based on performance and professional readiness.

Associate Financial Advisor Responsibilities:

  • Client Support & Advisory Development: will work closely with senior advisors to support existing client relationships, participate in client meetings, and develop advisory capabilities without the requirement to independently build a book of business.
  • Client Advice: will collaborate with lead advisors to deliver personalized wealth management services, including investment analysis, retirement planning support, and portfolio strategy discussions.
  • Client Reviews and Retention: will assist in managing and progressively take ownership of the client review process within the firm’s Client Relationship Management system (Salesforce), ensuring accurate documentation and proactive follow-up.
  • Financial Planning: will prepare and help present comprehensive financial plans using the firm’s interactive planning software (MoneyGuidePro), gaining increased autonomy over time.
  • Professional Development: will participate in structured mentoring, licensing support, and defined performance milestones intended to prepare the individual for transition into a full Financial Advisor role within 6–18 months.

Associate Financial Advisor Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; CFP®, CFA, or active pursuit of professional designation preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in one or more private client disciplines (banking, investment, trust, or financial planning) preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and client relationship skills with demonstrated interest in growing into a lead advisory role.
  • Possession of a Series 65 License, knowledge of Salesforce and/or MoneyGuidePro are desired, but not required.

Associate Financial Advisor Compensation:

  • $75K – $85K salary dependent on experience
  • Bonuses based on performance
