Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Technician with experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Mod Con (Modern Condensing) Boilers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydronic heating systems and be able to diagnose and repair high-efficiency boiler systems in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, service, and maintain Mod Con boilers in compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to combustion, controls, pumps, piping, and venting.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure optimal efficiency and system longevity.
Work with electronic and digital controls, including sensors, modulating burners, and communication systems.
Conduct combustion analysis and make necessary adjustments for peak performance.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure proper system operation.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance, necessary repairs, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure all work meets local, state, and national mechanical codes and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of service work, parts used, and job details.
Collaborate with other technicians, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless installation and repair processes.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience working with high-efficiency condensing boilers and hydronic heating systems.
Education/Certification: HVAC/R certification or relevant boiler technician certification preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of boiler combustion, piping systems, controls, and diagnostics.
Licensing: Boiler or HVAC license (if required by state or local regulations).
Tools & Equipment: Ability to work with hand tools, meters, and combustion analyzers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with brands such as Lochinvar, Viessmann, Navien, Weil-McLain, Burnham, or similar.
Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and smart controls for boiler systems.
EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling (a plus).
Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
