Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant
A growing Worcester-based real estate and development company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to support day-to-day accounting, billing, collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and project-related financial tracking.
This is a full-time, fully in-office role in Worcester, MA. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5 days per week on site.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on QuickBooks Desktop experience and be comfortable keeping accurate records, managing deadlines, and supporting multiple projects at once. Experience in real estate, construction, property management, Procore, or project accounting is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including billing, collections, vendor payments, and account tracking.
Use QuickBooks Desktop to record expenses, maintain financial records, and reconcile accounts.
Track project-related costs, documentation, budgets, and financial information.
Support reporting, tax documentation, compliance documentation, and leadership requests.
Maintain confidentiality when handling financial and company information.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of QuickBooks Desktop experience is required.
Experience with AR/AP, billing, collections, and account reconciliation is strongly preferred.
Experience with Procore, construction accounting, real estate accounting, property management, or project accounting is a plus.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Compensation and Schedule
This is a full-time, in-office position in Worcester, MA.
The salary range is $55,000 to $60,000 per year, based on experience.
