Our client is seeking a dynamic Chef to provide culinary leadership across their dining services operations, including dining halls, retail outlets, and catered events. Join our client’s team to inspire and train a diverse culinary staff, ensuring high standards in food quality, safety, and service.
Responsibilities of the Chef
Lead and oversee daily culinary operations and production across all campus dining locations.
Develop and implement seasonal menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Supervise, train, and inspire a diverse culinary team, fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining clean and organized culinary areas.
Manage food inventory and oversee the organization of production storage areas.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other team members on menu planning and execution.
Adapt to last-minute menu changes and special food accommodations for dietary, religious, and medical needs.
Requirements of the Chef
Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts or industry equivalent.
Exceptional cooking skills and experience in recipe development, especially with whole, fresh ingredients.
Current ServSafe Manager certification or ability to obtain within six months.
5-10 years of leadership and management experience in food preparation.
Strong leadership skills with a collaborative mindset and commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment.
Flexibility to work a schedule that generally runs Sunday through Thursday, with hours that shift based on operational needs.
Ability to manage labor shortages and dynamic scheduling needs effectively.
Compensation/Benefits for the Chef
Monday to Friday
6am to 2:30pm
$29.00 to $35.50
