Job Title: Cleanroom Lead Operator

Location: Tempe, AZ
Pay: $23–$26 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Full-Time)
Overtime: Occasional evenings or weekends as needed


Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cleanroom Lead Operator to support production in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading daily cleanroom operations, operating production equipment, and ensuring all assembly, packaging, and labeling processes meet strict quality and compliance standards. The ideal candidate has prior cleanroom experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, inspect, and troubleshoot production line equipment and assemblies
  • Perform precision assembly using small hand tools and specialized equipment
  • Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality and traceability standards
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation, including Device History Records (DHR) and work orders
  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures, GMP, and SOP requirements
  • Coordinate workflow and material movement within the cleanroom
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment (5S standards)
  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cleanroom environment
  • 1+ year of leadership or Lead Operator experience preferred
  • Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (ERP/MRP experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions

Skills & Physical Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity to handle small, precise components
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable in a production environment

Work Environment:

  • Combination of cleanroom and manufacturing floor settings
  • Use of PPE required, including gowns, gloves, masks, and safety equipment
