CNC Horizontal Milling Machinist

Masis Professional Group is hiring experienced CNC Horizontal Milling Machinists for a well-established precision machining company in the Chaska area. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with competitive pay, shift differentials, schedule options, and benefits.

This role is best suited for a machinist with hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC horizontal machining centers in a high-precision manufacturing environment. The company produces complex, close-tolerance components for industries such as aerospace, defense, medical, and high-tech manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal milling machines and horizontal machining centers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and job specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections on machined components.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications.
• Make offsets, adjustments, and corrections to maintain quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and support efficient production.
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of CNC horizontal milling experience.
• Experience with horizontal machining centers.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools.
• Ability to make machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Due to defense-related work, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Experience

• Makino horizontal machining center experience.
• Multi-pallet machining system experience.
• Aerospace, defense, medical device, or other close-tolerance manufacturing experience.
• Experience machining complex precision components.

Pay and Schedule

Pay is $28–$36/hr, depending on experience. Shift differentials are available based on assigned schedule.

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with all shifts available.
