Job Summary
We are hiring CNC Machinists to support Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines in a metal manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on CNC experience and the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills.
Experience level will determine responsibilities, from basic operation to advanced setups and program edits.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines, including VTL equipment.
Run CNC lathes and mills, perform tool changes, and adjust offsets.
Edit CNC programs as needed to correct issues or improve results.
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
Read blueprints and verify parts meet specifications.
Stop production and correct issues when parts do not conform.
Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S standards.
Experience Levels
Level 1: 0–2 years CNC experience operating lathes or mills.
Level 2: 2–5 years CNC experience including setups and 2D programming.
Level 3: 5+ years CNC experience including multi-axis machining.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
CNC lathe and or CNC mill experience required.
Ability to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
Experience using calipers and micrometers.
Mastercam experience preferred.
Aerospace experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift.
