CNC Mill Machinist

Pay: $30-$35/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift. Typical hours are approximately 7:30 AM-4:00 PM, with some flexibility around start and end times.
Location: West Henrietta, NY

We are hiring a CNC Mill Machinist for a small, growing precision machine shop. This is a hands-on role working primarily with short-run and prototype parts, so the work involves regular setups, changeovers, and a variety of materials rather than running the same production job all day.

The shop works with Haas and Doosan mills and uses Mastercam for programming.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines.

  • Work from blueprints to produce short-run and prototype parts.

  • Make adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues as needed.

  • Use Mastercam as part of the machining and programming process.

  • Perform basic inspections of your own parts using standard measuring equipment such as calipers.

  • Work with a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and brass.

  • Manage frequent setups and job changeovers based on customer orders.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous CNC milling experience.

  • Experience setting up and running CNC mills.

  • Ability to read and work from blueprints.

  • Basic working knowledge of Mastercam. You do not need to be an expert programmer.

  • Ability to work independently once trained on the shop’s processes.

  • Basic knowledge of inspecting machined parts.

  • Experience with Haas or Doosan equipment is helpful but not required.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Small, clean machine shop with approximately 11 employees.

  • Growing company adding staff because of increased customer demand.

  • Short-run and prototype work that offers more variety than repetitive production machining.

  • Flexible start times to help accommodate responsibilities outside of work.

  • Multiple health insurance options with a significant employer contribution.

  • Opportunity to work alongside experienced machinists who can help with the shop’s processes and more advanced Mastercam work.
