Job Description
CNC Mill Operator

Agawam, MA

Our client, a family-owned precision metal job shop serving the aerospace industry, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive, hands-on environment where craftsmanship matters and hard work is recognized. With a strong pipeline of projects, there is consistent overtime available and opportunities to grow your skills.

Responsibilities of the CNC Mill Operator

  • Set up and operate 3-Axis or 4-Axis CNC Milling Machines
  • Work with Fanuc Controls, including understanding G-Code and M-Code setup instructions
  • Read and interpret blueprints and dimensions to produce precision aerospace components
  • Use shop inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and depth gauges
  • Run precision parts while maintaining high quality standards
  • Clean, inspect, and verify completed parts to ensure they meet specifications
  • Follow SOPs and quality procedures required in a precision aerospace machine shop
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements of the CNC Mill Operator

  • Experience operating CNC milling machines preferred (3-axis or 4-axis)
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls, G-Code, and M-Code setup instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and accountable
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Compensation/Benefits for the CNC Mill Operator

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Competitive starting pay: $30.00 – $34.00 per hour (based on experience)
