Programmer / Quality Technician
Manufacturing engineering and quality role responsible for CNC programming, process development, tooling and setup support, dimensional inspection, and quality control within a machine shop environment.
Programmer / Quality Technician Responsibilities
Develop manufacturing process plans, tooling and setup instructions, NC programs, and tool-path geometry using customer drawings and CAD models.
Review and maintain CNC programs, tooling requirements, setup documentation, program logs, and DNC system files for accuracy and organization.
Support machine operators by troubleshooting programs, improving machining efficiencies, assisting with tooling and setup applications, and providing technical training.
Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections, generate inspection reports and non-conformance reports, and support root-cause and preventative-action efforts.
Support manufacturing and quality operations by assisting with job layouts, customer source inspections, special tooling and fixture fabrication, and equipment repairs or modifications.
Programmer / Quality Technician Requirements
CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience, including experience generating NC programs from CAD geometry.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, setups, fixtures, and CNC controls, including G-codes and M-codes.
Experience with dimensional inspection, quality documentation, non-conformance reporting, and root-cause analysis.
Ability to read and interpret customer drawings and computer models and translate them into manufacturing processes and inspection requirements.
Strong organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work directly with machine operators and engineering/quality personnel.
Programmer / Quality Technician Compensation
Compensation: $35 – $45 an hour
