A commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC systems. This role requires strong diagnostic skills, independent problem-solving, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships while servicing a variety of customer facilities.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, pumps, and packaged units.
Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and mechanical, electrical, and controls diagnostics.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers while completing accurate service reports.
Follow safety standards and participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.
Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and equipment repair skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
EPA Universal Certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Hourly Pay: $32–$45 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
