Position Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating nightly dispatch operations, monitoring delivery routes, and supporting drivers to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient deliveries. This role serves as a key communication link between drivers, warehouse, transportation, and operations teams, helping resolve issues quickly while maintaining accurate information in dispatch and routing systems.
Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage nightly dispatch activities to support safe, efficient, and on-time delivery operations.
• Monitor delivery routes and maintain regular communication with drivers throughout their shifts.
• Identify, address, and escalate delivery, routing, equipment, or operational issues in a timely and proactive manner.
• Troubleshoot routine equipment and operational challenges to minimize service delays and maintain schedule integrity.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate information in dispatch, routing, and transportation systems.
• Collaborate with warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to support smooth execution of daily delivery plans.
• Assist with deliveries or related operational needs when business demands require.

Qualifications & Skills

• Reliable, dependable, and accountable with a strong sense of ownership for daily dispatch operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to coordinate effectively with drivers, warehouse, transportation, sales and operations teams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay calm, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced delivery and logistics environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to help resolve routing, delivery, equipment, and operational issues quickly.

• Detail-oriented with solid computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate dispatch, routing, and transportation records.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and transportation software; Produce Pro experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, fewer than three points preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to work evening and overnight hours.
• Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatching, delivery, or related operations preferred.
• Bilingual, English and Spanish skills preferred.
• CDL experience is a plus but not required.
• Must be at least 21 years old (interstate carrier)
