Electronic Test Technician

Responsibilities of the Electronic Test Technician
– Test, align, troubleshoot, repair, and modify circuit boards to achieve specified functionality.
– Ensure circuit board chassis comply with customer specifications.
– Perform component-level repairs on circuit boards.
– Adjust and calibrate circuit boards to meet specific requirements.
– Set up standard test apparatus or equipment to conduct functional and operational tests.
– Analyze and interpret test data, making necessary adjustments to circuitry and components.
– Complete all paperwork associated with testing and troubleshooting.
– Fabricate cables for use with test equipment and circuit boards as needed.
Requirements of the Electronic Test Technician
– Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
– Proficient with volt meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators.
– Strong background in radio frequency and digital electronics.
– Ability to read electronic schematics.
– Strong deductive reasoning skills for troubleshooting.
– Mechanically inclined with soldering skills.
– Open-minded and willing to perform all necessary tasks.
– Background in radio communication is a plus.
– Ability to use mechanical tools for the fabrication and assembly of chassis.
– Comfortable working in environments where temperature may vary.
– Ability to lift, transport, and assemble electronic boards, chassis, and component parts.
– Capable of sitting or standing for the duration of the shift.
– Ability to work with a microscope for extended periods.
Compensation/Benefits for the Electronic Test Technician
– $22 – $26+ / hr.
– Full-time, Monday to Thursday (32 – 36 hours per week)
