Interior Door Shop — Job Description (Posting-Ready)

Position: Interior Door Shop Associate (Assembler/Production)
Location: Point of Rocks, MD
Pay: $17.00/hr
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Type: Temp (or Temp-to-Hire) 

Job Summary

We are hiring an Interior Door Shop Associate to work in a production/door shop environment, assembling and preparing interior door units. This role requires strong measuring skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble interior door components (door slabs, frames/jambs, casing/trim, hardware prep as assigned)
  • Read work orders/cut lists and measure/mark materials accurately
  • Use basic hand tools and shop tools as needed (tape measure, drill/driver, nail gun/stapler, saws—based on shop needs)
  • Sand, label, package, and stage completed doors for shipping/pickup
  • Perform quality checks (correct size, proper fit/alignment, no damage)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
  • Assist with material handling and staging as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs and perform physical work (standing, bending, reaching, repetitive motion)
  • Ability to read a tape measure and do basic math
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift
  • Assembly/manufacturing/carpentry experience is a plus (willing to train the right person)

Work Environment

Production/warehouse setting with noise, dust, and moving equipment. PPE may be required (safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, steel-toe boots).
