Position Summary
The Field Service Technician II will perform on-site maintenance, commissioning, and repair of advanced energy systems across multiple customer locations. This role involves troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems, supporting system installations, and ensuring operational reliability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on energy systems at customer sites.
Support commissioning of new installations and assist in testing and validation activities.
Service and maintain ancillary systems supporting overall unit operations.
Read and interpret electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve component issues.
Work with large distribution systems (480V) and apply safe operating procedures.
Use remote monitoring and control systems to assist in performance management.
Maintain accurate service documentation, expense reporting, and company vehicle upkeep.
Travel frequently across assigned regions, including potential international assignments.
Provide responsive support during scheduled on-call rotations and overtime when required.
Qualifications
4–6+ years of hands-on field service experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent trade school certification (Electrical/HVAC preferred).
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems integration.
Experience with switchgear, high-voltage systems, and remote diagnostic tools.
E1/E2 or P1/P2 license preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a technical field team.
