The Handyman is responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of buildings, facilities, and equipment. This Handyman role ensures that properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained by addressing repair needs promptly and efficiently.
The Handyman is responsible for completing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general facility upkeep.
Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment in warehouses, distribution centers, or production areas as needed.
Conduct daily safety inspections and routine maintenance checks on tools and equipment.
Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
Read and interpret work orders and maintenance requests accurately.
Assist with inventory control by tracking, labeling, and documenting tools and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and report any unsafe conditions to supervisors.
The Handyman will troubleshoot maintenance issues, complete repairs in a timely manner, collaborate with team members when needed, and suggest improvements to maintain safe and efficient operations.
Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general repair work required for a successful Handyman.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills for reporting completed work and coordinating with supervisors and team members.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks efficiently.
Tools & Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Software Proficiency: Basic familiarity with MS Office Suite for reporting and documentation may be required.
Pay Rate: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Monday – Friday schedule (standard office hours)
