Job Title: Commercial HVAC Technician
Location: Tempe, AZ
Compensation: $26–$30/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday; overtime as needed
Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team in Tempe. This role is focused on commercial and light industrial service and maintenance—not residential or apartment-based work. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience working on commercial HVAC systems and the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting skills, safety awareness, and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of commercial HVAC systems
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control issues across packaged units, split systems, and rooftop units
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer expectations
Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time on job sites
Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Communicate with dispatch, management, and clients regarding service updates
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and maintenance
EPA Certification (Universal preferred)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor
Strong understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems
Excellent troubleshooting and time management skills
Comfortable working with tablets or mobile dispatch software
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is performed on rooftops, mechanical rooms, and indoor commercial facilities
Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling
Exposure to varying weather conditions
Must be able to hear, speak, and communicate clearly while on job sites
