HVAC & Boiler Service Technician (Lead)

Location: Lake County, IL
Pay: $80,000 – $120,000+ per year DOE
Job Type: Full-Time

 

We are seeking a highly experienced Master HVAC & Boiler Service Technician to join our growing team in a leadership-level role. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned technician who takes pride in solving complex system issues, mentoring others, and delivering exceptional customer service.

If you have extensive experience with high-efficiency boiler systems, geothermal equipment, commercial HVAC, and advanced diagnostics, we want to hear from you.


What You’ll Do

Advanced HVAC & Boiler Service

  • Diagnose and repair complex HVAC, boiler, and hydronic systems
  • Service and troubleshoot:
    • Combi Boilers
    • High-Efficiency Boiler Systems
    • Steam & Hot Water Boilers
    • Heat Pumps
    • Gas Furnaces
    • Central A/C Systems
    • Humidifiers
    • Geothermal Systems
  • Perform expert-level troubleshooting on residential and light commercial equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Leadership & Customer Support

  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor for junior technicians
  • Provide customers with clear explanations and professional recommendations
  • Build long-term client relationships through outstanding service
  • Maintain accurate job documentation using dispatch/service software

Safety & Quality

  • Ensure all work complies with local codes and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Qualifications

Required

  • 15+ years of Lead HVAC and Boiler service experience
  • Strong background in residential and commercial HVAC systems
  • Experience with:
    • Combi Boilers
    • Hydronic Heating Systems
    • Geothermal Systems
    • High-Efficiency Equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Must have own professional tools
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred

  • Trade School or Technical College education
  • Leadership or mentoring experience
  • Experience with dispatching/service management software
