Industrial Electrician
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–1:00 PM
Additional Schedule Requirements: Some Saturdays and overtime may be required based on production and business needs.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and control systems throughout a manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining production equipment, motors, drives, controls, instrumentation, and facility electrical systems while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on industrial electrical experience and a strong background in industrial controls, PLCs, instrumentation, three-phase power, and variable frequency drives.
Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial electrical or similar electrical environment
• Manufacturing or production facility experience strongly preferred
• Military experience in a related electrical, electronics, maintenance, or technical field may be considered
• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot industrial electrical and control systems

Required Technical Skills
Candidates must have hands-on experience with:

• Industrial controls and control wiring
• Instrumentation and calibration
• Flow, level, and temperature systems
• PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings
• Three-phase power systems
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) / Variable Speed Drives
• Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic equipment
• Motors and motor control systems

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems supporting production equipment, motors, drives, controls, and power distribution
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system failures to minimize equipment downtime
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and service life
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
• Safely troubleshoot and perform work within electrical panels
• Follow established lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment
• Disconnect, reconnect, and troubleshoot motors and associated control systems
• Run conduit, pull wire, and complete electrical installations in accordance with applicable codes and plant standards
• Maintain electrical systems throughout production, warehouse, plant, and office areas
• Identify potential electrical or equipment problems and recommend corrective actions
• Accurately document maintenance, repairs, inspections, and completed work

Additional Responsibilities

• Work with rotating equipment and power transmission components, including gearboxes, bearings, seals, and related equipment
• Safely operate hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, saws, meters, and other maintenance equipment
• Safely utilize rigging and lifting equipment, including slings, chain falls, come-alongs, and jacks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company and plant safety policies and procedures
• Perform electrical work in accordance with applicable standards and codes, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70E
• Assist maintenance and production teams with equipment troubleshooting and emergency repairs as needed
• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and safely work at heights of up to 25 feet
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and work around industrial equipment
• Ability to safely work in an active manufacturing and industrial environment
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
