Masis Staffing Solutions is seeking a Lead Inventory Control Specialist to support inventory accuracy, inventory-control processes, and material traceability across warehouse and storage locations. This is a Direct Hire, on-site role in Littleton, MA.

Position Summary
The Lead Inventory Control Specialist is a senior individual contributor responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and maintaining strong inventory-control practices across the warehouse and related storage areas. This person serves as the primary subject-matter expert for inventory transactions, cycle counting, physical inventory, discrepancy investigation, and inventory process improvement.
As the daily extension of the Warehouse Manager for inventory-control matters, this role establishes standards for inventory accuracy, supports audit readiness, and coaches warehouse personnel on proper inventory-control practices. The position combines hands-on warehouse execution with analytical review, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement. This role provides technical leadership and functional direction but does not have direct people-management responsibility.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

  • Own and lead daily inventory-control activities including cycle counts, physical inventories, transaction review, discrepancy investigation, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy across factory, warehouse, offsite, and other designated storage locations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies involving quantities, locations, lot/serial numbers, work orders, sales orders, purchase orders, returns, and ERP transactions.
  • Perform and review advanced ERP inventory transactions to ensure receiving, put-away, picking, transfers, adjustments, and consumption are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve cycle-count processes, count schedules, inventory-control procedures, and related documentation.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recurring discrepancies; identify root causes and implement corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional teams (Warehouse, Logistics, Quality, Supply Chain, Production, Finance, Engineering).
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for inventory-control questions, transaction errors, material-location issues, and count variances.
  • Support inventory-related audits, compliance reviews, and internal controls by maintaining accurate records and audit readiness.
  • Monitor inventory-control performance metrics and communicate key findings, risks, and improvement opportunities to warehouse leadership.
  • Coordinate/support annual or periodic physical inventory activities (planning, execution, reconciliation, follow-up).
  • Ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, stored, and traceable per procedures and applicable quality requirements.
  • Support nonconformance, return material authorization (RMA), return-to-vendor (RTV), and disposition processes as they relate to inventory accuracy and material control.
  • Partner with Warehouse/Logistics to ensure accurate staging, shipping, receiving, and material movement.
  • Train, mentor, and guide warehouse team members on inventory-control standards, ERP transactions, and proper material-handling practices.
  • Participate in lean/process-improvement/standard-work initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, safety, and warehouse performance.
  • Perform hands-on warehouse work as needed (receiving, put-away, picking, staging, material movement, cycle counts).
  • Perform other duties as needed to support Masis Staffing goals.

Education, Training & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • BA listed as required/preferred (degree requirement shown as “BA” on the job record)
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, materials management, or logistics (regulated manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory accuracy, cycle counting, physical inventory, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
  • Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experience with lot-controlled/serialized/high-value/sensitive/non-standard materials preferred
  • Experience supporting audits, inventory controls, compliance requirements, and documentation standards preferred
  • Experience with NCR, RMA, RTV, and material disposition processes preferred
  • Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and provide technical leadership without direct supervisory authority
