Information Services Engineer
Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and troubleshoot customized software applications for the company.
• Develop, maintain, and support production traceability systems and databases
• Create applications for office staff to improve efficiency and integration across plant functions
• Write and maintain reporting tools and data analytics solutions
• Analyze collected production and business data to support operations and decision-making
• Maintain and enhance the intranet site
• Provide technical support for applications, databases, and general systems
• Troubleshoot routine and complex database and application issues
• Provide database training and communicate development opportunities to staff
• Support cross-functional teams with system improvements and integration solutions
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical production systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S)
• Demonstrate strong commitment to internal and external customer satisfaction Required Qualifications • Minimum 10 years of experience in software development
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining Microsoft SQL Server (2005 or later)
• Strong programming experience in:
Visual Basic (VB / VBScript)
C#
JavaScript
SQL / T-SQL
PHP
.NET / ASP.NET
HTML / XML
• Ability to read and write PLC ladder logic
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server (queries, stored procedures)
• Familiarity with ICONICS Genesis32 / Genesis64 preferred
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize critical tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Physical Requirements • Ability to communicate effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Occasional work on the production floor
• Ability to use hands and reach as required for equipment and system interaction
