Overview

We’re seeking an IT Consultant to support and enhance an Atlassian environment (including connected application integrations), provide responsive customer support to internal business partners, and contribute to small-scale development/enhancement initiatives. This is a contract role starting ASAP through the end of 2026, with potential to extend.

What you’ll do

• Customer Support / Troubleshooting

  • Serve as a key point of contact for Atlassian-related requests, issues, and requirements
  • Triage and resolve incidents and user-reported problems in a timely manner
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business needs

• Enhancements & Development

  • Participate in small development projects to improve Atlassian functionality
  • Design, build, test, and deploy enhancements with a focus on quality and reliability
  • Help improve workflows and processes over time

• Performance Optimization

  • Monitor platform performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Support periodic performance assessments and implement improvements

• Integration / Connected Applications

  • Support integrations within the Atlassian ecosystem and connected business applications
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure dependable data flow

• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain clear documentation for configurations, enhancements, and troubleshooting steps
  • Provide training/knowledge transfer as needed

Minimum qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in software development
• Proficiency in Java (plus Spring Boot, Groovy, and/or Python)
• Experience with Unix systems and shell scripting
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL)
• Experience with upgrades, patching, CVE evaluation, and technical troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD concepts/tools
• Strong communication skills; able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Preferred

• Experience with Atlassian Data Center and Cloud products
• Familiarity with Atlassian best practices and related tooling
