Machine Operator – 3rd Shift

Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.
Location: Putnam, CT

We are hiring a Machine Operator for a 3rd shift manufacturing position in Putnam, CT. This role involves operating roll-to-roll lamination equipment used in the production of specialty laminated materials.

Prior roll-to-roll, roll-fed, or continuous web-process manufacturing experience is required. Relevant backgrounds may include slitting, rewinding, laminating, converting, coating, web-fed printing, film, paper, flexible packaging, or similar roll-based manufacturing processes.

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare manufacturing equipment for production runs.

  • Operate and monitor roll-to-roll production equipment.

  • Adjust machine settings such as speed, tension, alignment, and other operating controls as needed.

  • Monitor material throughout the production process and inspect finished output for defects or inconsistencies.

  • Troubleshoot basic machine issues and make adjustments during production.

  • Complete required production and quality documentation.

  • Work safely around chemicals and solvents used in the lamination process.

  • Follow all production procedures, safety requirements, and PPE guidelines.

Machine Operator Requirements:

  • Previous roll-to-roll, roll-fed, or continuous web-process manufacturing experience is required.

  • Prior experience with slitting, rewinding, lamination, converting, coating, film, paper, flexible packaging, or similar processes is highly relevant.

  • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to set up, monitor, and make basic adjustments to production equipment.

  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience with measuring tools such as calipers or micrometers is a plus.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements.

  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and walk throughout the shift.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
